Under general supervision, the IT Compliance Analyst plays a key role in supporting regulatory and compliance initiatives across the global IT organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that IT controls related to financially significant systems are properly designed, implemented, and maintained in alignment with management’s expectations and compliance standards.
The analyst will conduct periodic audits and assessments to collect evidence, evaluate control effectiveness, and identify potential gaps. Findings and insights are documented and regularly reported to IT leadership to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement of the IT compliance posture.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related SOX assessments.
- Conduct and support IT control self-assessments, identifying potential risks and improvement opportunities.
- Perform SOX IT gap analyses and assist in the development of remediation plans.
- Review and validate IT policies and procedures to ensure completeness, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Analyze system configurations to verify alignment with internal policies and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with process owners to support remediation efforts and strengthen internal controls.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT compliance program, including documentation and process enhancements.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Perform other compliance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science.
- Previous experience in a compliance-related or IT audit role.
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance.
- Ability to coordinate and support risk assessments, technical vulnerability assessments, and internal/external audits.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into clear, business-oriented language.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
